Parasha Shoftim teaches us about the coming of Yeshua

Parasha Shoftim ( Judges) is a very interesting read.

First and foremost, it underlines our Creator's passion for righteous judgment. Introducing judges into the community of Israel is a way of preventing abuse and corruption in many ways.
In Shoftim, we will also find a strong reminder of the idolatric practices that are forbidden: owning a statue, bowing before Heavenly militia, bowing before moon and sun...

Tzedek, Tzedek, tirdof ( justice, justice, shall you pursue)

Justice, justice shall you pursue, that you may live and possess the land the Lord, your God, is giving you.

One of the conditions to possess Eretz Israel, the Promised Land, is to pursue justice.

But certainly, the most interesting verse from Shoftim is to be found in Devarim, Chapter 18, verse 15

A prophet from among you, from your brothers, like me, the Lord, your God will set up for you; you shall hearken to him

A lot of Muslim scholars have tried to fool people by stating that Moshe was speaking of Mohammad.

This is a blatant lie and total misinterpretation of the verse.

First of all, 'the prophet like Moses' cannot come from Ismael. The verse clearly states ' from your brothers' ( or kinsmen) which implies that this prophet has to be a Jew. This is a sine qua non condition.

If the prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, and the thing does not occur and does not come about, that is the thing the Lord did not speak. The prophet has spoken it wantonly; you shall not be afraid of him.

Second point, verse 22 allows people to distinguish between a true and a false prophet. Mohammed's false 'prophecies' are countless.

Modern rabbinates, that mostly don't want to have anything to do with Yeshua, for many reasons ( also because of Christianity's many distortions), usually choose to explain that the prophet like Moses is Yehoshua bin Nun, Moshe's successor, who will bring the people of Israel into the Promised Land.

However, ancient writings in Judaism rather describe the 'prophet like Moshe' as the Messiah.

I lack time to go deeply into detail, but I would like to share this astonishing resource that also reveals that the Messiah should appear in Galilee!

I'd like to pray for the people of Israel to get to know their long lost brother Yeshua intimately.
May Yeshua remove the veil soon. May this day be a day of joy and celebration!

Come soon Yeshua!

Amen.
